Hi, my name is Chi Yun!
Chi Embodiment Coach,
& Yoga Teacher
My journey began in 2009, when a life-threatening illness initiated a deep healing process that led me to reclaim my physical body through yoga. Growing up in rural America, I had no exposure to the spiritual roots of yoga—but I was called to learn, and eventually, to share its medicine.
In 2012, I completed my first 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training, influenced by Iyengar’s therapeutic approach. I taught for several years before shifting into mental health work, becoming a Licensed Psychiatric Technician supporting adults with developmental disabilities. This deepened my understanding of human behavior, trauma, and the nervous system.
In 2022, I returned to yoga, completing a second 200-hour training with a focus on neuro-somatic techniques and shamanic practices. Despite my certifications, I paused teaching to reflect on cultural respect and the ethics of sharing yoga as a Western practitioner.
After years of serving in systems that didn’t reflect my worth, I’ve declared 2025 my year of Sovereignty. I now stand fully in my truth—devoted to offering trauma-informed, ethically-rooted, spiritually-aligned practices that honor the philosophy of yoga. I am here to support others in reclaiming their truth, their bodies, and their lives.
